To be the best we can be

Our vision is to give children
the knowledge and skills
to be successful by
being the best they can be.

Led by Christ, we follow in Jesus’ footsteps, seeking to be
the best we can be.

We learn and grow, we are ready to learn and aim for success.

Together in God’s family, we love and respect
everyone
 we meet
here at school.

Curriculum Information

At Our Lady of Victories we provide an education which is rich and varied, placing a strong emphasis on high academic achievement. The Curriculum provided encourages every child, at every stage of their  learning, to develop their individual talents and particular abilities.
It is based on the English National Curriculum which covers Mathematics, English, Science, Computing, History and Geography, and Personal, Social and Health Education, which includes Relationships Education, Music, Physical Education, Art, Design and Technology. Pupils in Key Stage 2 learn a Modern Foreign Language (French).

As a Catholic school we also teach Religious Education, using a programme which delivers the content set out by the Bishops Conference of England and Wales.

Children in Reception follow the Foundation Stage Curriculum (EYFS) and work towards achieving the Early Learning Goals. The EYFS curriculum has two areas of development: the Prime Areas of Learning and the Specific Areas of Learning. The Prime Areas include: Personal, Social and Emotional Development, Communication and Language, Physical Development. The Specific areas include: Literacy, Maths, Understanding the World,
Expressive Arts and Design.
